Translating Hearing Aid Benefits Into Features the Consumer Understands (TX-110-24-009)

Research shows that recommendations are more likely to be remembered and followed when they are specific to the patient. Roughly translated, if we want our patients to take our recommendation and wear hearing instruments, then we need to make sure we are presenting patient benefits and not hearing aid features that the consumer may not understand. The purpose of this seminar is to identify specific patient benefits with common hearing aid features. This interactive session is designed to help you distinguish the difference between a hearing aid feature and a hearing aid benefit. Although it is important for hearing healthcare professionals to be experts in both areas, most patients only want to know about hearing aid benefits. Incorporating the “so what” rule, the attendees will create patient benefits for numerous modern hearing aid features. This exercise will lead into a practice session where you will make a recommendation using the stacking formula. Ultimately, the goal of this seminar is provide tools for better communication with your patient.
